Celebrating Our Faith

As a Catholic school, the celebration of our faith is something that never ends. Here are some ways we celebrate our faith at St. Charles:

Weekly Mass:
St. Charles students attend Mass every Friday with the greater community of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Each month a different grade level takes leadership in the Mass by participating in various ways.

Reconciliation:
St. Charles students who have received the Sacrament of Reconciliation have the opportunity to visit this sacrament during Advent and Lenten seasons. Students who are not Catholic are free to meet with a priest for spiritual counsel if they choose.

Advent Program:
The Story of all Stories is told each year, in dramatic fashion, by our Kindergarten through 4th grade students. Arrive early for this performance because the church is packed every year. This is the celebration of God’s greatest gift to humanity, and it is precious and sacred every time.

Christmas Choir and Band Concert (5-8 Choirs, 4-8 Bands):
Our students perform songs of our faith and songs of the season. St. Charles has two middle school choirs and two bands that take the stage for an evening that will bring the spirit to you.

Spring Concert (K-4):
Our youngest souls lift up their hearts to the Lord with songs of Joy and celebration of our salvation. This concert takes place in the month of May when we honor Mary for the important role she played in bringing Christ to our world.

Spring Concert (5-8 Choirs, 4-8 Bands):
The bands and choirs of St. Charles take the stage once again to welcome in the spring season. Songs of our faith and songs of new life will leave you with a true feeling of renewal.

Catholic Schools Week:
This is the week where Faith, Community, and fun come together. During this week we visit Feed My Starving Children to reach our global community, we make cards for local nursing homes sending a message of love to our elderly community, and we also welcome the entire St. Charles Parish to see some of the projects and activities we are working on at St. Charles School.

St. Charles students lead the Sunday Mass to kick off Catholic Schools week. They are involved by leading music, lecturing, taking up gifts, and other participation in the Mass. During the week, we celebrate the gift of Catholic education through prayer and, of course, some zany fun including an all-school field trip, Simon Says, human bowling, and more!
