St. Charles students are donating a puppy to be trained as a service dog for a veteran in need!
St. Charles students have purchased a Labrador puppy to donate to Paws Assisting Wounded Warriors (PAWWS) to be trained to help a veteran who’s re-entering civilian life. Middle school students in St. Charles’ “Charge to Serve” group raised the money to purchase “Charger” (pictured below) thanks to a DJ who donated his time and services for school dances so that the students could save their money for a charitable act. Students researched PAWWS and coordinated the marketing and fundraising.
The puppy visited our school on Monday, Dec. 10 to meet students and deliver a surprise ornament gift to everyone. To raise money for “Charger’s” fees, we are selling raffle tickets for chances to select his registered name. All submissions have to be in honor of a veteran, past or present. The raffle drawing takes place Dec. 17. Get your raffle ticket here and send it into the school office to be submitted in the drawing!
